The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 6, after line 17, insert the following (and redesignate succeeding subsections accordingly): (c) Prohibition on Compensation for Members of Congress.-- None of the obligations issued under subsection (a) may be used to pay compensation for Members of Congress. Page 7, line 2, insert ``the authority is in use'' after ``week''. Page 7, strike line 13 and all that follows through line 17. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Pursuant to House Resolution 202, the gentleman from Michigan (Mr. Camp) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Michigan.
