I am proud of America. I'm proud to be an American. I'm proud of our Constitution that guarantees all of us the right to pray as we choose to pray.
Abdul El-Sayed

For the 2026 election, El-Sayed is the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan.
To bring into question my commitment to the Constitution is really beneath you.
He's got a war for everything, and he won't back off the war now. He supports this war,
Right now, the folks pulling the money out of your pocket are the big corporations who are buying his campaign.
We need a War Powers Resolution, rather than a senator who is going to stand hip-to-hip with Donald Trump on this war that made no sense when it started and certainly makes no sense now.
Nobody knows better about denying people health insurance than Mike Rogers.
That threat had been contained back during the Obama administration when he used diplomacy and not war to contain the threat.
We need an SEC or FDA-style regulatory agency that can oversee the development of these models to make sure we don’t open Pandora’s box only to hate it at the very end.
AI should not be able to do certain things like fire weapons or fire you or deny your healthcare.
Like all the things that Donald Trump does, they are chaotic, they are ham-fisted, and they are self-serving.
Reach out to them, OK? We have an opportunity to build our country, not just watch it get torn down.
Yoopers are commonsense, thoughtful people, and they don't like paying more in gas than they need to, don't like paying more in groceries. And they don't like being taken advantage of by a billionaire from New York.
I’d rather pay for schools than be so focused on allowing a billionaire to make another billion.
JD Vance called me a little weasel today. I’m like, ‘No, no, no. What you’re talking about is a Wolverine.
“The reality is this: I’m never going to tell you what faith you can or cannot practice. I want to protect your right to practice your faith as you choose as a Christian man,” El-Sayed said.
“I’m not running to be a Muslim senator,” El-Sayed declared. “I’m running for the U.S. Senate and happen to be Muslim.”
“I’m going to swear to the Constitution of the United States and that Constitution guarantees us all the right to practice whatever faith we want to or no faith at all.”
“Sure. Yeah, absolutely,” El-Sayed answered. “Why are you asking the question?”
It’s a crazy thing to assume that somehow I’d have dual loyalties, as somebody who is avidly running to protect.
The whole reason this question is being asked is to insinuate that somehow I have dual loyalties.
