It seems that there is not a huge amount of consensus as to the best way to keep Legionella under control.

Questions From: Hon. Michael H. Michaud, Ranking Minority Member, Full Committee, and Hon. Ann Kirkpatrick, Ranking Minority Member, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations To: Department of Veterans Affairs
Thank you for appearing before the Committee on Veterans' Affairs on February 5, 2013, to testify at the hearing entitled 'Analyzing VA's Actions to Prevent Legionnaire's Disease in Pittsburgh'.
I am writing to express my concern with recent reports that the military has been destroying or failing to keep records from the field in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I would like to enter into the record a one-page letter that I sent to the VA and the Department of Defense over 2 weeks ago.
I think it gets back to the issue I mentioned over and over again when you look at Togus dealing with claims.
Our service members and veterans depend on your agencies and Congress to protect them in battle and to care for them at home.
Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman and Mr. Ranking Member, for having this hearing.
I know the secretary has made a lot of improvements over the last few years, but we still have a long ways to go to make sure that we can provide the adequate services that our veterans have earned and deserve.
