I guess the question here is, for those of us who want a vote on this increase in gas mileage is, is it technically feasible? Do we have the brains, the will, the initiative to increase gas mileage and improve safety of these vehicles? The answer is yes, we have the brains, the skill, the technology. We can increase gas mileage, improve the environment and provide safety for those Americans who choose to buy SUVs or light trucks. I urge support of the amendment.
