I thank the distinguished Member from Illinois (Ms. Schakowsky) for her comments. Nobody fights harder for working people and seniors in this Congress than Jan Schakowsky, and no one is sadder that we have been so lacking in attention to the issues of concern to those folks. I now want to recognize Allyson Schwartz from the State of Pennsylvania, who has also been a great leader and a member of the Ways and Means Committee and who is trying to work on behalf of jobs and growing our economy.
