The people of Ukraine have had to endure twelve years of Russian military aggression, occupation, full-scale invasion, the kidnapping of its children into Russia, and air attacks against their cities.

It is essential that the levers of justice are never politicized. We are a nation of laws, not individuals.

Congress must take action, drawing on the strong bipartisan support behind the sanctions law, to prevent a penny of American funds from being used to purchase Russian petroleum products, on which Putin relies to fund his war.
