This is far overdue already. There are people now out of work who are hurting. The unemployment insurance for many of them has already run out. For others, it will soon run out. This is not an effort, as the Senator from Oklahoma indicated, to broaden the program in terms of its beneficiaries or its benefits. It is simply to extend it in order to take care of people who are in real and desperate need. So I very much hope the request of the majority leader will be honored and we will at least be able to move on that aspect of this problem. I withdraw my reservation.
