The Senator is right to focus on the inadequacy of demand. If he would put up the chart that shows how much of the benefit goes to workers' wages as opposed to corporate profit in this so-called recovery, we can see that if you go back to the early 1990s, during that recovery, a majority--85 percent--of the benefits were going to workers. In this recovery, the workers are getting only 15 percent.
