“Mr. Speaker, we are so proud of the leadership Congresswoman Jayapal is showing in both Washington State and Washington, D.C., in resisting these terrible cuts to the domestic budget of the people of the United States, in showing leadership, also especially in defending American values when it comes to immigration and affording a refuge to people fleeing political and religious repression all over the world. She is a true leader and we are very proud of her.
