I support this hearing, as you mentioned in your opening statement. However, I am concerned that holding this hearing in the midst of a multibillion dollar settlement negotiation will delay and reduce needed restitution for millions of Americans.

But success on the merits is not the goal. It is meant to harass Jack Smith. It is meant to please their Fox News viewership. It is meant to whitewash their own participation in a scheme to overthrow our elections.
The story is that he continues to lie about it, and they’ve organized an entire political party, albeit a dwindling and shrinking one, around a lie.
But the good news is that the vast majority of Americans across the political spectrum are standing up for our democracy and our freedom in our free and fair elections.
