it is so interesting that when we talk about Medicare, Medicare is so important to so many people. If we did not have Medicare, we would have to invent it because it touches the lives of so many. And I have often said that if I were sick and did not have a way to get well, I think that would make me sicker. I think that we are, with the way this conference report is structured, it seems as if we are pushing more and more people out into the cold and placing them in a position where they will not be able to get available, accessible and affordable health care.
