I am so pleased that on Sunday we will have an opportunity in this country, finally, to bring health care to the American people. All of us as Members of Congress will have an opportunity to say that we either stand on the side of the American people or we stand on the side of insurance companies; insurance companies that continue to raise their rates for premiums; insurance companies that deny care and coverage; insurance companies that determine that it is maybe better to pay a CEO $23 million a year than it is to deliver quality, affordable, and accessible health care to the American people. So at long last, the Democrats in Congress and our Democratic President are going to bring health care to the American people.
