I want to reiterate I really appreciate the comments by Ranking Member Foxx and I couldn't agree with more what she had to say and especially struck by the 58 percent. That is just so unacceptable. It is mind boggling.

Last year, we helped pass the Bipartisan Law Enforcement De-Escalation Training Act, which provides $124 million in grant funding over four years on de-escalation training for police officers.
I also want to reject a recent despicable effort, by some extreme far left groups, that falsely claim to speak for the Jewish community to undermine the longstanding bipartisan support for this critical programming.
We would like to figure out how to implement the bipartisan First Step Act successfully.
