Chris Van Hollen: “I do not think you need any more authority or hoops you need to jump through in order to justify not imposing them.”

The job of a U.S. ambassador, and their staff, whether a political or civilian employee, is to defend and protect U.S. interests.

Last night’s ruling from a federal judge made plain: the Administration’s efforts are in clear violation of Congressional intent.

We must hold them to this standard and hold a hearing to determine what the Department knows, as well as request the original report written by embassy staff on the status about these killings.

Americans deserve real solutions.
