Chris Van Hollen: “Put up or shut up in court”

Last night’s ruling from a federal judge made plain: the Administration’s efforts are in clear violation of Congressional intent.

It is unacceptable that Amb. Huckabee and his staff continue to cover up and block access to essential information about these killings.

We must hold them to this standard and hold a hearing to determine what the Department knows, as well as request the original report written by embassy staff on the status about these killings.

We must not forget that a federal judge has already made clear what we have long known: the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice is engaged in a vindictive prosecution against Kilmar.
