I wish Mr. Mulvaney were more persuasive with his colleagues because we agree. I wish we had a vote on this. We're happy to have that debate. In fact, that's what we've been having on the floor today. We heard a lot from our colleagues about the devastating impact of these cuts on defense and other things, and we agree, which is why we think it's appropriate to ask people who earn more than a $1 million a year to help contribute a little bit more to our deficit so that we don't have to see these consequences. I now yield 1\1/2\ minutes to the gentleman from New York (Mr. Nadler).
