For decades, the remains of hundreds of Black children have lain in unmarked graves on the grounds of a shuttered institution that was supposed to keep them safe.

This victory is about more than a building. It is about ensuring that when Congress makes a decision, the Federal Government cannot simply ignore it because they do not like the outcome.

This ruling protects billions of dollars in already awarded federal grants from being cancelled without warning or clear justification.

Cutting off that funding does not merely eliminate a budget line. It means fewer cancer screenings and more preventable diseases going undetected.
