With today’s ruling, Maryland’s federal court has added its voice to the unanimous chorus of judges who have said states do not have to follow the Trump Administration’s demand to turn over their unredacted voter registration databases.

For decades, the remains of hundreds of Black children have lain in unmarked graves on the grounds of a shuttered institution that was supposed to keep them safe.

Such bans deny young people the simple joy of playing alongside their peers and participating fully in one of the most meaningful parts of childhood.

Cutting off that funding does not merely eliminate a budget line. It means fewer cancer screenings and more preventable diseases going undetected.
