I came down this evening to add my voice to those of us who were quite frankly outraged at what is going on in this chamber. We are outraged, first, at the waste of taxpayer money. This investigation has taken over one year. There has been lots of opportunities, plenty of opportunities, ample opportunities, for the Republicans and their allies to make their case. They have investigated individuals ad nauseam. They have subpoenaed individuals ad nauseam. They have allowed Mr. Dornan, a former Member of Congress, to seek subpoenas, to bring people in, to ask questions, to conduct a thorough investigation. At every step of the way, those of us on this side of the aisle have attempted to cooperate. Notwithstanding the fact there has been a consistent lack of communication from their side, a lack of cooperation, we recognized that Congress does have a role in looking into these matters.
