And I would just like to add my voice to comments about Mr. Peres. Having met him, I will tell you that he is a totally respectable gentleman who has been through more difficult times during his life than hopefully anyone I know will ever have to go through; and yet he has survived them all with class, with dignity, with the ability to bring people together. Again, I hope this bill passes unanimously. I yield back the balance of my time.

Let me point out, since Dodd-Frank, 17 million jobs have been created; 15 million of them under Obama, 2 million under Trump.
the concept of taking protections away from small investors just strikes me as anathema.
But it is also worth noting that to the American people, it was Democrats under the sterling leadership of our Ranking Member, Ms. Maxine Waters, who has been fighting and been our protector on many of these issues.
I don't remember being taught by any of the Jesuits it was OK to separate parents from children.
