Since 2012, the EPA has written a success story for public health and the environment through its implementation of mercury and toxic air standards, MATS.

Yet despite that success, EPA is now proposing to reverse its own findings and perhaps the entire MATS regulatory structure.

Over the past 2 1A½ years, the Trump administration has upheld its promise time and again to roll back critical environmental protections.

So I appreciate that. Denmark, as it turns out, was rated by Avik Roy as one of the countries that was free and a competitive market for drugs, not a country that engages in price controls.

Is it really appropriate to continue to keep charging the taxpayer for those research risks on the back of an old product?

So you say that you need to fund continued scientific innovation.

Amgen establishes a list price for our medicines in the context of an established set of pricing principles.

A significant portion of those cleanup dollars, some 30 to 60 percent for individual sites' budgets, according to testimony, is going to what's called minimum safety, or min-safe, work.

So that means the dollars actually going to cleanup are a fraction of what is appropriate.

Since 2011 EM has spent over $45 billion to try to address the cleanup responsibilities. And yet, we seem no closer to cleaning up these sites or reducing the department's environmental liabilities.

The energy efficiency and clean energy technologies are critically important to ensure a livable future.
