If you just take the last comment he made, in which he suggested that we need somebody who believes more deeply in freedom and democracy and free enterprise, I do not know of anything in the record, or outside of the record, or anything in the background of Strobe Talbott that suggests anything other than an extraordinary belief in freedom, democracy, and free enterprise. I think it is possible as a journalist to make observations about a country's policy at a particular moment in time that may displease the government or displease some of the most passionate supporters of that government but nevertheless not in any way be diminishing or even declarative of that particular journalist's commitment to freedom, democracy, or free enterprise.
