The U.N. Human Rights Council (HRC) has been seriously flawed and a major disappointment.

The President-elect believes that the United Nations is an indispensable, if imperfect, global mechanism in which to advance our interests.

It is time to look at the kinds of robust action that you and others, such as the President-elect, have long suggested.

If it requires further sanctions or pressure of other means to make that happen, then that is what we must contemplate.
