John Fitzgerald Kennedy: “I do not expect a fifth postwar recession to interrupt our progress in 1963”

This is the worst attack on foreign aid that we have seen since the beginning of the Marshall plan.

It symbolizes, I believe, this highway, first of all, the partnership between the Federal Government and the States, which is essential to the progress of all of our people.

I regard it as serious.
