John Fitzgerald Kennedy: “We are going to have to build in this country a strong and vital society that spreads its influence around the world.”

We are proud to have them here also because they are a Scottish Regiment, and that green and misty country has sent hundreds and thousands of Scottish men and women to the United States and they have been among our finest citizens.

This highway has been built by the dedicated effort of the citizens of these two States.

I think that is a very good motto for some of the rest of us.

I think that this administration has been very vigorous in its action, and I think that we have tried to set a responsible standard.
