It symbolizes, I believe, this highway, first of all, the partnership between the Federal Government and the States, which is essential to the progress of all of our people.

This highway has been built by the dedicated effort of the citizens of these two States.

Our goal is the development of the most efficient, economic, and the safest transportation system for all of our people.
