That is why I recently introduced the Dry Cask Storage Act which gives plants 7 years to remove all of the waste that can be removed from the pool and put it into safer dry cask storage, provides funding to help offset the cost and increases the size of emergency planning zones around plants that choose not to remove the waste from their pools.
