Over the past two years, my office has been working closely with the family of Robert Gilman – a Massachusetts resident and former Marine who has been wrongfully detained in Russia on questionable charges for 1,666 days.

FERC has a statutory obligation to ensure that consolidation in the energy sector serves the public interest, not corporate profits. It is impossible to see how this consolidation will not put the public interest at risk.

I am also seeking information related to ICE’s harmful, nontransparent operation of the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (“ISAP”)—an alternative to detention program—in the Commonwealth.

I am praying for Robert and his family today.
