You want to bring down affordability? Cut the red tape in Washington. Stop the abuses of some of these laws that are out there…

It's insane that some of the fires that we've seen that have burned communities all across this country were completely preventable, except red tape, primarily out of Washington, stops local communities from managing their own forests.

The good news is Republicans are doing something about it. We're bringing bills to reform these laws, to cut red tape in Washington.

This was an incredibly important piece of legislation to pass, and with a narrow majority – Look, over and over again, the far left loves trying to count out the Republicans in Congress and yet we delivered for Americans, farmers.

It's clear our policies are delivering: the average tax refund is up 11% from last year because of the Working Families Tax Cut.

This is exactly why we passed this historic legislation: to allow Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money.

Most hardworking Louisiana families are seeing more money in their pockets.

The Democrats have already said if they get the majority this November, they will reverse the Working Families Tax Cut. They will take that money away from you.

The average worker under our bill will get $3,400 back when they file their taxes.

But we said we're going to take power away from Washington and give it back to the people. What a powerful idea that is.

What a beautiful day it is in America. Isn't this a great day? For the first time in a long time, Americans are celebrating April 15th as Tax Day because American families are getting money back today.

If you look at the bills we're bringing, the FIRE Act, for example, allows people to manage forests again so that you don't have wildfires that burn down communities.

When people filled out their taxes last week and were getting on average $3,400 back because of the bill that we passed, they also recognize that every Democrat voted against that bill because every Democrat wanted to take that money away…

Well, it's another week where House Republicans are bringing bills to the floor to make life more affordable for hardworking families.

Did anybody want a nuclear-armed Iran? I think if you ask most normal people, they would say absolutely not when they just slaughtered 30,000 of their own people.
