The political stability of the gulf, the trained work force that is in the gulf all lead to trying to promote production in the Gulf of Mexico.

In fact, U.S. natural gas is the most expensive in the industrialized world.

As a Senator from Louisiana I am particularly interested in the analysis and testimony on the subject of natural gas.

While U.S. chemical makers have lost an estimated 78,000 jobs since natural gas prices began to rise in 2000.

I want to support the chairman. I think those deadlines are tight, but there is a real need to work this out.

I think it would be a great misuse of our donors' money to now revisit the idea of moving elsewhere.

Could you explain it out with the map? Because, Mr. Floyd, unless, you know, one possible solution--

Well, and I realize that, and I know that you all have worked a great deal on this, and I am not going to reach any conclusion.

Because both of these projects are so important, and I am just wondering maybe, Ms. Gallagher or Mr. Lindstrom, things that Congress does and can undo, things that Congress does and can change--you know, it is not--anything is not in stone.

But if the funding, you know, is short, then it puts a crimp in this particular formula.

You all have--you are in the position to have control of this schedule so that--because they are really moving pieces.

We commend you all for the work that is ongoing, and we look forward to continuing the partnership in that regard.

It can help to build a new initiative in the City that strengthens families, protects children from harm and expedites life changing and sometimes threatening decisions.

I also express, again, the importance, at least from our perspective, Mr. Chairman, of the focus on establishing the new Family Court.

I want to just reiterate again how much of a pleasure it is for me to work with Senator DeWine.

I have been proud to support this Committee's goal of doubling the NIH budget over the last five years

I support greater oversight both internally and by Congress to create a process that will not allow the integrity of the NIH clinical research to be compromised

It is important that we do all that we can as a Committee to ensure that individuals' own interests do not taint the NIH research

I urge us to pursue that in a pretty aggressive way, because over the short, medium, and long term, it would be a great advantage to the country.

I think that that practice that we have somewhat developed in the United States could actually be quite applicable for Iraq.

The military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, in response to September 11th, will create a world where Americans can live in security.

I just think the principle of it is important for America, that we intend to be the primary military superpower in the world.

I agree with your assessment that it would be wise for us to be both a military superpower and a diplomatic superpower.

That is a misstatement of history.

I believe the Administration abandoned the diplomatic track too soon.
