To suggest that for the residents of the District of Columbia that solely having a right to participate in the Presidential election, it is tantamount to the one-third rule.

We`re in a state of emergency when it comes to democracy in this country, as well as policing, and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. And I think the American people want to see dramatic action on both of these issues.

It is axiomatic that the right to vote is fundamental to American democracy.

We note the attacks on this progress. They come in the form of voter suppression – voter purges, attacks on democracy, attacks on equal opportunity in DE&I, banning of books, attacks to try to thwart this progress.
