This is a moment where it is refreshing to hear Speaker Johnson right here, you know, Republican, Democratic partisans, the president of the United States, saying, everybody take a step back, everybody take a breath.

Donald Trump is strong. Joe Biden is weak. Donald Trump is vigorous. Joe Biden is not.

It was a very strong speech. It was a forcefully delivered speech. It was in the president's wheelhouse, which is building alliances, which is a big contrast he wants to make with Donald Trump.

The majority of the Democrats I have spoken to by far, the vast majority thinks the president is in trouble.

He has the Trump base, right? If Donald Trump steps on that stage worried about the Trump voters, you know, he's already lost.

He was willing to break with his party and do things that got him in trouble and stand up and explain it.

He was not afraid of going outside of orthodoxy and taking heat for it and taking flack for it.

You address your weaknesses. At this point in the campaign, you're the nominee. They have eight months to November. You address your weaknesses and you try to build on your strengths.

If you're the Trump campaign, you have to look at that and say, what's our problem in the suburbs?

Third party candidates matter.

That's how you win close elections in states that are decided by 10,000, 20,000, 25,000 votes.

Eighteen percent of the American people, registered voters, think Joe Biden's policies have helped them personally. That has to be a gut punch to the President.

I was about to do something, I cut a bipartisan deal to do something very tough at the border, and Donald Trump told you guys to walk away from it, and you put Donald Trump ahead of the country.

Trump has persuaded his base, his voters, this is nothing. They're after me. They're out to get me and when they get me, they'll come for you.

You do not want this man back in the White House.

A lot of independents in these states that are close to 50-50 don't want Donald Trump without a doubt.

If he is convicted, there's evidence, we're seeing it, that even some Republicans would walk away.

Joe Biden won the presidency because of the moment, right? The American people said, ingest bleach? No, we need an adult.

We respect you. We're so grateful you kicked Donald Trump out of the White House.

Haley's only chance is women. Is if women finally decide and you hear it, when you're on the ground there, they don't like the toxic tone, they want to move on.

The president says Donald Trump is a threat to democracy.

The presidential election a year away. But what happens on election day tomorrow could say much about how voters will see key issues next year, including abortion.
