The plan comes in response to a crisis of its own making as Democrats flooded the childcare industry with $39 billion in what was supposed to be short term COVID-19 spending.

Childcare obviously is too expensive for those who need it, but I think it is important to note that it has become more expensive as we have pumped more Federal dollars into it--it is kind of odd.

Every family in America has the right to high quality, affordable childcare.

It is a question of how do we get wider spread adoption of some of the things that y'all are doing.

I agree with some of my colleagues, Senator Paul said regarding the adverse kind of paradoxical effect of decreasing rebates, but I differ with them on spread pricing.

The system is broken. It is enormously complicated. There is virtually no transparency.

There is an enormous amount of greed going on.

Major drug companies last year made $100 billion in profit. PBMs made $27 billion in profit.

It is pretty clear from your testimony that banning or not using spread pricing actually decrease cost by 3.5 percent.
