This amendment would require the identification of every small dollar donor under Section 5111 if the aggregate of qualifying small dollar donations from outside the district exceeds $250,000.
If a candidate is receiving great sums of money outside the district, then the donors should be disclosed like others.
I just don't think that is reasonable. I think this amendment is misplaced. I would urge that we oppose the amendment.
You know who is the biggest small dollar donor candidate in the history of politics? Our President, Donald J. Trump.
Nobody should codify lining the campaign coffers of people sitting around this dais, which this portion of the bill does.
