The need to congregate is important, but not during a pandemic.

the Democratic governor of Kansas, Laura Kelly, has wrapped up more than 100 endorsements, from prominent Kansas Republicans, all around the state, even though she’s a Democrat.

I think in Kansas you just have to do that unless you want to bully your way through being governor.
