“As a former U.S. Marine, I understand the importance of a strong national defense, especially during this time of war. That's why I'm glad to rise in support of this National Defense Authorization Act of 2012. It provides our troops with the resources they need and enables them to carry out the missions we've asked of them. Now, I'd like to especially thank our chairman, Chairman McKeon, for his leadership in this process. In particular I can say as a freshman, he's taken great time and attention to the issue of reforming how we do our quadrennial defense review.
