The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To strike the provision establishing the Emergency Federal Employee Leave Fund and appropriate $300,000,000 for chemical screening devices for U.S. Customs and Border Protection) Strike section 4001 and insert the following: SEC. 4001. FUNDING FOR NARCOTIC AND OPIOID DETECTION. (a) Appropriation.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for fiscal year 2021, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $300,000,000, which shall remain available until September 30, 2025, to acquire, deploy, operate, and maintain chemical screening devices to identify, in an operational environment, synthetic opioids and other narcotics at purity levels less than or equal to 10 percent.…
