But certainly we have the ability on the floor today to try to correct the bill that is kicking 48,000 children off of Head Start, and I know the gentleman from Arkansas would love to support those children. We do not want to go to places like Michigan City, IN, where 880 children are waiting to get on Head Start, where I only have 35 percent of my eligible children enrolled, and tell the children there, which ones are going to get kicked off, I ask the gentleman? Mr. Chairman, I would not want to be going into Head Start programs around this country saying, you, you, and you are out of Head Start. That is not the direction this country should be going in.
