This tragedy not only destroyed the lives of thousands of innocent American civilians but also violated each and every American's sense of safety and security. No longer can we deny the fact that there are people in this world who seek to violate our cherished ideals of liberty, wise tolerance and an enduring peace. But those that live under the security of this Republic are resilient. From the sorrow, confusion and fear will come resolve, focus and confidence.
