The pilot programs authorized in this bill are a tool to find new ways to improve crop insurance for farmers. I agree that the USDA should give every consideration to including farmers in Maine in such a pilot program. I would also commend the Senator from Maine's efforts to work with us in crafting a bill that address the concerns of farmers in her state.
