I would note that a good number of Americans have observed that throughout all the problems in Darfur, with the charge of genocide and crimes against humanity by the government of President al-Bashir duplicating their behavior in the south, China has certainly realized that some very bad things were happening, but obtaining oil from Sudan remained its first priority.
