I think just because Americans are outraged because of how Republicans have failed them and made their life more expensive doesn't automatically mean that they're going to embrace and trust Democrats.
You know, if Republicans really wanted to give everybody a few thousand dollars, they would have done it this week instead of going home for two months in the middle of multiple national crises.
