Medicaid dollars intended for vulnerable children and families are not a slush fund.

“The state is also seeking additional FEMA support that could include home repairs or direct housing assistance for families whose needs cannot be met through available rentals,” according to Braun’s office.

The reforms his administration is putting in place offer other states a model for protecting care without abandoning the children who depend on it.
