I am a cosponsor of H.R. 2997, the Crash Avoidance System Evaluation Act, a bill that I am proud to work with, with my friend Bobby Rush.

Congressman Rush and myself are proposing this legislation, to make sure that the DOT... investigates this performance to detect and classify vulnerable road users.

As I have mentioned, this will not only save lives, but will stimulate economic activity across the central part of the United States.

I am proud to work with the Department of Transportation and any other stakeholders to ensure that our request to speed I-69 completion is using taxpayer dollars responsibly and conforming to all relevant laws and authorities.

I do think that the U.S. should have Federal privacy legislation because I think we need a national standard.

Without competition, things don't change.

The RECOVER Act establishes a recycling infrastructure program within EPA.

In my opinion, that is exactly what H.R. 2482, the Mainstream Addiction Treatment Act does. It removes education requirements and limits making it easier to prescribe a medication known to be highly diverted and misused.

My concerns are that buprenorphine can be effective if administered by properly educated and trained providers who counsel and educate the patient.

I do, again, want to reiterate my concerns about lifting regulatory requirements on qualifications required to prescribe these medications for MAT and I think that they are there for a reason.

The last thing Congress should be doing, in my view as a physician, is limit and relax requirements for prescribing and dispensing narcotic drugs like buprenorphine, even when there is political pressure and sometimes social pressure to do…

As a physician I do think that the physician community is becoming more and more aware of their prescribing habits.

If the President of the United States comes out and incites a panic in the United States; it incites a worldwide panic.
