The problem of methamphetamine, or meth, abuse is a serious problem facing our country today.
I do think it is appropriate to discuss the national strategy and attack this particular issue in my opinion.
Despite the grim realities of meth addiction, science can provide valuable insights to this problem.
As a medical doctor and physician, I personally know the devastation that addiction can cause.
I predict that we will be seeing more methamphetamine infiltrating the city as it becomes more readily available.
I do think from a research perspective it is very important that we continue to make sure we have Federal support for basic research in all of these areas.
