Mr. Chairman, we share the concern that the gentleman has, and he is right. We have many, many, too many national labs today. We have to do something about it. It is a concern of this committee. We have had concern for several years. We have to consolidate some of them. We just cannot continue to fund all of these. However, we have already reduced this account. We were aware of Mr. Galvin. In fact, we invited him last year to appear before our committee. While we have made significant reductions here, we feel that might be too much at this time. But in the future I think that we are going to have to do something along this line and reduce. I urge the gentleman to withdraw at this time this amendment. I think the gentleman is on the right track, but maybe we have cut it enough already in the bill.
