The Senator seems to want to divert attention from the fact that it is Republicans who are providing relief to middle-income families and the Democrats provide zero. We provide a $500 tax credit and that is what distinguishes it, and one of the many things that distinguishes our plan from theirs. I think the Senator from Tennessee knows the relief available to those earning $16,000 and under is the earned income tax credit.
