We need to improve Amtrak's national fleet. No doubt about it. I am certain, and I would love for the committee to hear your efforts, sir, to continue to support and strengthen the great work that is being done at Beech Grove and oppose any efforts to outsource this work.

As the author of the 2018 provision, sir, it is beyond frustrating to see a known security risk ignored by the FAA.
Unfortunately, because of Congress' repeated cuts in GSA's construction and renovation budget, and because of arcane budget scoring rules, GSA has not been able to fund projects that maintain the aging inventory of buildings.
