“I also support H.R. 3786, which directs the General Services Administration, the GSA, on behalf of the Archivist of the United States, to convey 9 acres of property in Anchorage, Alaska, to the local municipality in exchange for its fair market value. The GSA reports that this property is, effectively, underutilized, and I support selling the property for its highest value and best use. This bill, Mr. Speaker, protects the interests of taxpayers, and it allows the Federal Government to manage its property portfolio more efficiently.
