I’m troubled by the ongoing attacks to defund Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides such extensive preventative healthcare services to millions of women.

I think that this behavior undermines your mission and the Americans that the agency serves.

So basically you're screwing the soldiers.

So they'll get their money back?

Did I hear correctly that you don't plan on going back and reimbursing the families?

I am ashamed that we have put these families in this situation.

I'm deeply concerned about this transition period.

This is shameful. We are better than that.

This is not just a childcare issue. This is a military readiness issue.

I'm so glad that we're having this much-needed debate in our country, and especially in this committee, on need for reforming our criminal justice system.

We need to work on sequestration so that our military and our men and women who put on a uniform... have everything that they need.

I want to make sure that if you are moving the Apaches out of the Guard, before those Hawks show up, that those crews are actually getting the slots to go to schools so that they can get qualified.

You guys are being forced to make some really tough decisions that put our troops at great risk, potentially great risk, as a result of sequestration; something that we certainly on this side of the hearing room need to do our job to end.

I wanted to sort of chat with you a little bit about the JLTV specifically.

I have always felt that there is a strategic imperative to energy use in the Department of Defense.

Government does need to get out of industry's way and allow them to implement things that are going to be good for the industry and good for their customers.

I find it unacceptable that in 2014 an aircraft can go completely missing for such an extended period of time without any answers or explanations.

I believe that is unacceptable.

But my hope is H.R. 5475 will give her a little peace of mind knowing her newborn will get some extra help from the VA.

It's my hope that any new mother, who has given selflessly to her country, wouldn't have to worry about Congress standing in her way.

This is why I introduced H.R. 5475.

The bill, named after 28-year-old Marine Veteran Clay Hunt, who tragically took his own life in March 2011, will provide accountability for the mental healthcare and suicide prevention programs that serve our nation's service men and women…

This simple idea could potentially help hundreds of our veterans get quick access to high quality and reliable healthcare.

It is these veterans and children that need our help today.

I believe this is unacceptable.
